8 months

If I could freeze time this would be the age I'd do it at!  I'm loving this stage, Ev is so funny and such a joy to be around.  He's such a flirt, I can't hardly make it through the grocery store without someone stopping us to pinch his cheeks or talk to him.  He has been wearing more hats lately which only adds to his cuteness!

Still no teeth
no crawling


You are now saying dada, mama, and nana.
Reaching for stuff out of your reach and falling over, lol. (but you don't cry)
Starting to eat table food.
Will rock back and forth on hands and knees.

7 months

Finally getting on somewhat of a schedule.  Ev is taking better naps which in turn we get a happy boy! He's all smiles all the time!  Still no teeth and not even thinking about crawling.

6 months

Can not believe our little boy is already 6 months old!  Time really is flying.  We are loving this stage, Everett is so alert and ready to play.  He's like a little sponge that just takes it all in.

This month:

You sit up all by yourself.
Eating solids 3 times a day.
Make funny expressions.
Very interested in what we are eating but you don't like the way food feels in your hands.

Still no teeth

5 Months

I'm loving this age.  Ev is learning so much and becoming so aware of the world around him.  Pretty much everything goes into his mouth including his feet.  Everett has become very fond of his food and pretty much likes everything but green beans and avocado.  My lil man is becoming very independent which makes me happy and sad all at once.

This month:

He can sit up by himself (kinda).
Eats sweet potatoes, peas, pears, apples, peaches, prunes, squash, and carrots.
Finally stopped using the swaddle!!!!
Ev decided all the sudden that he wanted to take his paci and now it's his best friend.
He'll reach up to me to be picked up.
And finally taking longer naps!!!  Praise the Lord!
Still no teeth.

4 Months

Oh the dreaded in between stage.  Ev is growing like a weed and learning new things everyday.  He's still only taking 30 minute naps which are testing his mama's patience.  I know this is God's way of making me learn to roll with the punches.  I'm so use to being in control of my day and with a baby that pretty much goes out the window.  But I'm loving every crazy minute of it!


This month:

Ev tried solids!  Didn't like them at first but getting the hang of it.
Rolling over more.
Faux hawk is coming in nicely. :)
Gets super excited when daddy gets home.  (so sweet)
Started sticking his tongue out.
Still no teeth but lots of drool. :)

Life in the Oz!

Well, we are feeling extremely blessed after the tornado missed us this past weekend.  What a scary night!  I can see why people say that being a mother is like having a little bit of your heart living outside of you.  Usually storms don't bother me that much, but now that I'm a mommy I was a wreak!  I was running around getting blankets, bottles, clothes, ect. together in our storm shelter.  Our little family was cuddled together praying as the storm merely missed our home by about a mile!  Thank the good Lord for his protection!  God is good!!!!

Our lil Easter bunny!

We had a great Easter.  Started the day off at church with Gma and Gpa Handyside and Uncle Chris.  Then went to Nana and Papa's house and saw GGma Mary and Aunt Nancy.  He was pooped from all the action and passed out on the way home within 5 min.
